The children had a fantastic time breaking the rules on Thursday. A huge thank you from Mrs Bennett, almost £200 was raised to support the school she will be volunteering at in Nakuru during May half term.

All the children loved taking part in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch 🐦
We enjoyed fun activities that helped us recognise and spot birds around our school grounds.

We’re lucky to have different habitats for our feathery friends, and we hope the data we collected will help the RSPB with their important work! 🌿💚#BigSchoolsBirdwatch RSPB Learning

The Staffordshire County Council Sustainability Team visited Year 3 and Year 4 yesterday to help us learn how to be more sustainable in our homes and community.

We explored different materials and discussed ways to reduce the amount of rubbish we throw away. We thought about questions such as: What can we do with wasted food? How can we repurpose a cardboard box or a bottle?

We then used a conveyor belt activity to sort materials into those that can and can’t be recycled. We also sorted items from our bean bags into the correct bins.

It was a great start to the year, encouraging everyone to think about how we can lead more sustainable lives. 🌱

Thank you to all the parents who came along to the EYFS maths workshop - The focus was one more or one less, they also looked at recognising numbers and counting objects accurately
