SEND – Special Educational Needs Information

At All Saints CE Academy, we strive to support all pupils to enable them to achieve at school.

In order to do this, many steps are taken to support them through their learning journey.
Quality first teaching is vital; however, for some children there are occasions when additional support may be needed to help them achieve their bespoke targets. We have highly skilled teaching staff and teaching assistants who carry out interventions to support pupils who need that extra level of support. Our Special Educational Needs and Disability Co- Ordinator (SENCO) Mrs Walker, works closely alongside staff, parents, pupils and other agencies to find out if there are barriers to learning due to:
  • Communication and interaction
  • Cognition and learning
  • Social, mental and emotional health
  • Sensory and physical needs

We embrace the fact that every child is unique and consequently their educational needs will be too. At All Saints CE Academy, Denstone we have an ambitious curriculum and set aspirational targets for all our pupils. We celebrate individuality enabling all our pupils to flourish.
