A lovely first day at Whitemoor Lakes

Did you know that a tiger's wee smells like popcorn?

This is one incredible thing we learnt when the author Catherine Barr came to visit yesterday. She has written 40 non-fiction books (with more on the way) all about incredible creatures from nature. She told us her favourite animal was the pangolin with her favourite book she wrote being about sun bears.

She read an extract from one of her books that was all about a hedgehog. The children all drew wonderful pictures of hedgehogs whilst she read.
