For all children in Reception through to Year 4, the length of the school day is a statutory 6.5 hours per day, commencing at 8:50am to 3:20pm, totalling 32.5 hours per week.

For children attending our Nursery, the daily sessions are as follows:

Morning – 8.45am to 11.50am

Lunch 11.50am to 1.00pm

Afternoon – 1.00pm – 3.20pm

 

In the morning, the gates are opened at  8.35 a.m.

The bell rings at 8.45 a.m. and the gates are locked, to ensure registration begins promptly at 8.50 a.m.

Morning Session: 8.50 a.m. – 12 noon  

Lunch: 12 noon – 1.00 p.m.

Afternoon Session: 1.00 p.m. – 3.20 p.m.

Breaks:

10.45am until 11.00am (whole school)
2.30pm until 2.45pm (Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1)

Assembly: Daily at various times

Times of morning and afternoon breaks (KS1 & Reception only) vary.
The playground is supervised from 8.35 a.m. until the beginning of the school day.

  • Free fruit for children in Reception and Key Stage 1 at each morning break.
  • Children may bring a snack for break time eg fruit, vegetable sticks. NO NUTS or NUT CONTAINING ITEMS. Crisps, biscuits or sweets allowed only on a Friday.
  • Free meals for children Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1. (Government funded Universal Free Infant Meals scheme)

SUAT supports and leads in the set-up of new academies joining the partnership. The services provided by the central support function cover both educational and non-educational support. In terms of educational support, SUAT is linked to the School of Education of Staffordshire University, which is an outstanding ITT provider.
