When learning about the changes that Lord Shaftesbury and Dr Barnado made during the Victorian Era, the children from Years 3 & 4 visited Apedale Heritage Centre.
During the day, the children spent time exploring the area above ground that has been regenerated following the closure of the mine, the museum and underground into the coal mine.
SUAT supports and leads in the set-up of new academies joining the partnership. The services provided by the central support function cover both educational and non-educational support. In terms of educational support, SUAT is linked to the School of Education of Staffordshire University, which is an outstanding ITT provider.
