Welcome to the All Saints CE Academy Website, our school's online information point.
All Saints CE Academy, Denstone is one of the schools that formerly comprised The Saints’ Federation with St Augustine’s CE Academy, Draycott-in-the-Clay and St Peter’s CE Academy, Alton.
All three academies are now part of Staffordshire University Academies Trust. We continue to work closely with our colleagues in St Augustine’s and St Peter’s and still share an Executive Headteacher and have one shared Local Governing Body (called a Local Academy Council).
Our academy aims to foster a Christian, caring ethos in which children thrive by celebrating achievement and making sure they feel valued and secure. Each person within our school family and the contribution they make to school life are held in high regard. All children are taught to respect others and they are provided with exciting learning opportunities, standards and the expectations of behaviour are high.
All Saints, as a Church of England Academy, is supported by the Lichfield Diocese. It caters for pupils between the ages of 4 and 9 years, normally residing in the rural area encompassed by Denstone, Hollington and Great Gate. However, pupils currently attend from out of catchment as well. We are part of a cluster of First schools that link with Ryecroft Middle School and we are also part of the Uttoxeter Pyramid of schools.
The current school building was opened in the year 2000 and is set in extensive grounds which enable the children to have space to learn and play in the outside environment. We have a wildlife area with a pond which can be used as an outdoor classroom and a garden which has been developed by the skill of parents and the local community.
We offer our children a rich, broad and balanced curriculum that includes all the requirements of the National Curriculum. The school aims to provide the best possible educational opportunities to enable all children to achieve their full potential as well as activities outside the classroom that both enrich and inspire all pupils.
At All Saints we aim to prepare our students to become good citizens of the future. Through our curriculum we teach pupils British values and how to celebrate diversity. We aim to raise their awareness of radicalisation and extremist views, whatever the source. We have adopted the principles and advice found in 'Keeping Children Safe in Education 2016' and the 2011 'Prevent Strategy'. These are incorporated into our school policy on tackling extremism which can be found within our documents page.
Please contact the school office to arrange a convenient time to come and see what All Saints CE Academy, Denstone can offer. We look forward to meeting you in the near future.
